Situation
For some time, Mens en Relatie had been thinking that communications between office staff and consultants throughout the country could be quicker and cheaper. “Having an administration system which is online 24 hours a day was our goal”, says Radboud Visser. “Communication between our office staff and the consultants throughout the country always took place on paper, which was very time-consuming”. “For this reason, we decided to ask IQuality to implement a web portal. In fact, the decision to use IQuality was an easy one. After all, in 1998, this software company had already created a system for our office database. The project was carried out to our complete satisfaction”.
“The aim of the project, which was completed quite recently, was to build a number of simple functionalities directly into the database. The intention was to simplify the retrieval and modification of data. The most important point for us was for our consultants in all locations to be able to match up people seeking partners via the database”. “After thorough preparation by IQuality, we received two well-substantiated plans. After this, the project could actually get off the ground, and in my opinion it went very well. Even after the first test round, the system was virtually complete”. IQuality can now look back upon a successfully completed project at Mens en Relatie. The internal test rounds at the introduction agency have just been completed. From the beginning of May, both the office staff and the consultants will start working with the new system. Expectations are running high.
The IQuality solution
For Mens en Relatie, we created a web portal with a wide range of functionalities. It allows the consultants throughout the country (around 70 people) to retrieve and examine the data of registered clients. They can also request changes here. The portal, built using dotnet technology, is also accessible to Mens en Relatie's office staff. They can use it to approve any changes submitted and implement them in the existing Sybase database.
